Built around a new tagline that reflects the broad impact of Teledyne Healthcare’s work – Technology for every step of the patient journey – a fluid and dynamic brand was born, conveying to the audience that Teledyne aren’t just manufacturers, they are partners. 

Among many other things, Teledyne builds magnetrons, the central component in radiotherapy machines used for treating cancer, so to reflect this life-changing work, the identity needed to be bright and uplifting. To bring this to life visually and breath new life into an existing colour palette (retained to ensure synergy with the parent Teledyne brand), I created an identity that was built around a set of graphics I termed “blends”, inspired by radio waves and thermal imaging, a key component of Teledyne’s technology. The final identity is one that reflects the balance of humanity and technology at the heart of Teledyne Healthcare.

Results

The design and its strategy got immediate traction both internally and externally, and the Healthcare employees across the business are proud to see it displayed. Thanks to the four bespoke blend assets and detailed brand guidelines, their in-house team continues to create fresh content that sticks to the brand.
