G42, a leader in AI-driven innovation, sought to showcase the transformative power of its platform The Intelligence Grid at Gitex 2024. With an ambitious four-week turnaround, I collaborated with a 3D artist, developer and writers to create an immersive digital experience using Unreal Engine. The installation allowed visitors to navigate an immersive 3D city on a 10.5-meter-wide curved screen via a 55" touchscreen display.

The goal of the experience was to engage passing visitors, emphasising the Intelligent Grid's impact and reinforcing G42’s vision of AI as a utility akin to electricity: ubiquitous, reliable, and transformative.

The visitor could explore a variety of locations in the city representing key sectors where G42’s Intelligent Grid drives advancements, such as healthcare and financial services. Each location, crafted with detailed 3D models, provided deeper insights into specific use cases and how they related to the platform.

My role involved solving complex design challenges, such as how to represent abstract concepts like cloud and cybersecurity within a 3D environment. I also designed the UI for both the large display and the touchscreen, ensuring a seamless, coherent user journey that was accessible to a global audience.
