In response to the increased demand for e-commerce during the 2020 pandemic, Dematic introduced a micro-fulfillment solution designed to automate processes within existing retail locations or urban fulfilment centres. They needed to target customers who were already familiar with the concept of micro-fulfillment but lacked clear understanding of how Dematic's solution could benefit their business. 

The solution was a simple and helpful online configurator designed to engage potential customers, offering them a deeper insight into the Dematic Micro-Fulfillment solution, whilst also gathering customer information, generating leads, and informing sales discussions.

A hands-on project, it was my role to design the configurator from scratch and work closely with developers to ensure a seamless experience across all devices. To create an engaging and visually dynamic sales enablement tool, I developed a playful yet detailed isometric illustration style that stayed true to the product's complexity. I then brought these to life with intricate animations that pushed the limits of the Lottie format.

Results

The final product was a smooth and streamlined user experience that integrated seamlessly into Dematic’s global website. The experience guided customers through a brief set of questions in a way that minimised bounce rates and maximised form completion, with a tone of voice that was clear and authoritative, reinforcing Dematic’s expertise in delivering innovative solutions.
